E morta dopo un mese di atroci sofferenze. Iolanda Rozzi, militante della DC, 62 anni, è l’ultima vittima della violenza terrorista. La sera del 28 gennaio un « commando » dei Nuclei proletari combattenti diede alle fiamme la porta della sua abitazione, in via Carlo Della Porta a Torpignattara. dove da 17 anni viveva con la sorella Rosina, segretaria della sezione femminile democristiana della borgata.
« Mia sorella senti dei rumori, poi il suono del campanello. Non apriva mai a nessuno, ma quella sera aveva creduto che fossi io ». Rosina Rozzi, vincendo a stento le lacrime, racconta ancora una volta il tragico episodio. « E’ stata subito investita dalle fiamme e non è riuscita a salvarsi. Un vicino, Amleto Masci, è riuscito a portarla fuori dall’appartamento, ma è rimasto ferito anche lui ».
I terroristi hanno firmato vicino alla porta il loro assassinio: «Un nostro nucleo ha scovato una militante del partito antirivoluzionario. Morte ai servi dell’imperialismo. Colpire le strutture e gli uomini ».
Forse, dice la polizia, l’obbiettivo era un altro. Forse volevano ferire la sorella Rosina, che dirigeva la sezione femminile della vicinissima sede democristiana. « Ero fuori per lavoro. Jolanda mi aspettava come tutte le sere. Io l’ho rivista soltanto in ospedale, con quelle tremende ustioni. La prognosi prevedeva 60 giorni di ricovero. Non riesco ancora a rendermi conto di questa morte assurda: non ce l’ha fatta perché è rimasta avvelenata dall’ossido di carbonio sprigionatosi nell’incendio ».
Jolanda Rozzi non ha avuto nemmeno il tempo di rendersi conto di quanto stava succedendo. « Mi ha detto di aver sentito come uno scroscio d’acqua. Era invece il rumore delle bombolette spray con le quali i suoi assassini hanno lasciato il “messaggio ” sul muro. Poi i terroristi, prima di salire in ascensore, hanno suonato il campanello e mia sorella ha aperto restando ustionata ». Il giorno dopo i giornali riportarono la notizia dell’attentato, come uno dei tanti episodi di violenza politica, di « microterrorismo ».

I only saw her again in the hospital, with those terrible burns. The prognosis called for 60 days of hospitalization. I still can’t grasp this absurd death: she didn’t make it because she was poisoned by the carbon monoxide released in the fire.”
Jolanda Rozzi didn’t even have time to realize what was happening. “She said she heard something like a rush of water. It was actually the sound of the spray cans with which her assassins left the “message” on the wall. Then the terrorists, before taking the elevator, rang the doorbell and my sister opened it, getting burned.” The next day, the newspapers reported the news of the attack, as one of the many episodes of political violence, of “microterrorism”.
